About Us

Spanish Tutoring & Translation by Ivy, LLC is a company located in Norwich, CT, composed of two members. The owner, Ivette, is a native Spanish speaker with over 20 years of experience.

Ivette loves tutoring and decided to start a Spanish Tutoring and Translation business only because of her passion to teach. In the past, she taught Spanish at a local high school. She also taught Spanish Bible classes to adults at a Bible Institute her former church had. Additionally, Ivette’s vast experience translating documents into Spanish and English includes working as Translator for two of the local school districts. She also assists as Interpreter at the school’s Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings and Parent/Teacher meetings. In the past she served as interpreter at doctor’s appointments, and at Immigration Naturalization Interviews. She is a certified Basic and Intermediate Tutor of the National Tutoring Association.

 

Angel, her husband, also taught Spanish Bible classes to adults at the Bible Institute for the church he currently attends, in addition he interprets at the church services. In the past, he tutored adults in English as a Second Language. Due to the combined academic knowledge and experience obtained over the years, they provide expertise and ensure customer satisfaction.
